Hello, I was just wondering is there any difference in scoring of academic and general writing ? I felt, the vocab section in academic test , requires more academic not, candidates will not score a 7 or 8 in it (?????). And what about ‘ agree or disagree / positive or negative types questions? Is it necessary to stick with one side in the opinion paragraph? ie; 2 positive points and 1 negative point. Can I still conclude it as ‘positive’ ? Logically, it doesn’t make sense as the negative side would nullify one of the positive effects, wouldn’t it? Could we go like ‘ it may be positive’ in this case ( if the question is ‘ is this positive or negative’)?
This touches me. It’s hard in France to be a non-drinker. There was even the threat of division in the church over the Lord’s Supper bc some wanted wine instead of grape juice and I protested that it was a stumbling block to the weak. We compromised with alcohol-free wine. This was my husband’s and my proposal and we were invited to share the communion message to explain the change. My goodness. It was incredibly vulnerable to share my weakness in front of an uncomprehending audience. I cried and could barely speak. But afterwards some came forward expressing struggles of their own so we could see God was at work.
The conclusion gives the overall verdict of the argument. You can also restate the ideas that you have discussed in the body paragraphs so as to make your point valid. The conclusion should also aim at motivating the reader to do research in the future. The conclusion is related to the argumentative introduction as the topic as well as the thesis statement is restated in a more convincing manner. The conclusion also gives you a platform of illustrating your decision concerning the argument in the article and why you have settled on that particular decision. Try not to introduce new ideas as they will give the readers an ideology that the article is not comprehensive enough.
